Having assumed this role seven months ago, Rhoda has made significant strides in repairing past challenges and laying out a clear path forward for our initiatives.
After a thorough selection process by a dedicated hiring committee, including Mr. Courtney Jordan, Rhoda emerged as the ideal candidate to guide our efforts. Mr. Jordan’s confidence in her abilities reflects the shared belief we all hold in her capacity to drive our mission forward.

Rhoda’s tenure at Duke University Medical Center further refined her project management capabilities and collaborative skills.
With a Master of Public Administration and Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Rhoda is not only dedicated but also exceptionally skilled in driving Cornerstone America’s mission to revitalize underserved neighborhoods and foster economic stability through accessible services and community support.
In the spirit of celebration, President Picot shared, “In a world where we are often challenged, we are called to rise together in faith and purpose. The strength and leadership of women like Rhoda remind us of the profound impact we can have when we empower each other. As Proverbs 31:25 says, ‘She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.’ We are blessed to have Rhoda at the helm of Cornerstone America, where her leadership will inspire not only our teams but the communities we serve.”
Since assuming her role, Rhoda has diligently worked to repair any damage from the past while laying out a clear and strategic path forward. Her dedication is evident as she begins to expand Cornerstone’s programs across the state, reaching even more communities in need.
